Grand Final to be in October.

Just heard on the ABC that the AFL are considering moving the GF to the first weekend in October once the Gold Coast come into the comp. Each team will have 2 byes and the season will be 22 rounds played over 24 weeks. They reckon they can't start the season any earlier due to cricket using grounds.

Hey guys I have an idea, what about scrapping the pre-season comp?

As my birthday is the 26th September I strongly oppose this idea.

I don't like the idea of an October GF - and I also don't like the idea of bye rounds either - but hopefully all this will only be an issue for one year as it will have to change once GWS comes in the following year.

Hopefully with the need for bye next year, the split round in the middle of the year won't be needed. Plenty of footy every weekend.

Fiddle here, fiddle there. Who the frack in the AFL is responsible for all these suggested changes? Again, leave well enough alone!!

The first Saturday in October doesn't have the same ring to it so to the AFL, leave the @@@@ alone.
