Bradshaw - Voss used to be a mate now.............

An unusual admission from Voss that Braddie would be a big focus in the leadup to the match. Wasn't he supposed to say "it's just another game"?The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible news -
Braddles is ready to kick 10 goals against them!!
I can feel it in the air.Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.Comment

And Vossy's aware that Daniel isn't the only one the Lions have to worry about. Good for us.He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Even Jonno Brown's in two minds about it:
Old Lion Bradshaw ready to haunt former team
Is this a good thing for Sydney? I want to see Bradshaw kick half of the 16 goals we score on the way to a 60 point hiding.Comment

We all wish Bradshaw a huge leg-up for this game.

This might sound sacrilegious, but does anybody else think Bradshaw was a bit of a crybaby about it all? I'm really surprised more hasn't been made of it by Brisbane fans, but Bradshaw essentially picked up his stuff, buggered off and ended his relationship with Voss over being put on the trade table. OK, it's not great, but it happens to plenty of players, and they move on, but not Braddy. The fact that he still has apparently not spoken to Voss is I think way over the top, especially when you consider they played together for a very long period of time.
Don't get me wrong, I love seeing him kicking goals in red and white, but he does seem to have responded rather immaturely.Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!Comment

No I don't think so BSA5. After so many years service I would expect a bit of respect from the club as well, let alone loyalty. From what I understand he wasn't consulted. It was just plain rude, to be honest somewhat shocking to be cast adrift and abandoned after everything he had done for and with the club. He has every right to have the @@@@s with them, and the orchestrator of the situation in Vossy. He has said very little, and his silences say a lot more. IMO.
Actually, as a relatively loyal person myself, I find disloyalty a shock and he is probably someone of my ilk, so I get it. But, as he now has our loyalty, he will give his all to this club. Fine by me.If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

I think the amazing thing is that the Swans persuaded Bradshaw not to just say "f... all of you" and walk from the Lions and the game. We're told he's a conservative person who values family and friendship and loyalty. That he trusts the Swans not to betray him again says a lot about his faith in this team. So far, he's doing a great job of repaying the faith we've put in him - just as I think he always did for the Lions. I don't hear many Lions fans bagging Braddy.Comment

It may happen all the time in AFL but that doesn't mean that everyone has to just lump it, nor does it mean that it should happen to everyone.
I'm more suprised that there hasn't been a bigger outcry from the Lions fans about the loyalty of their club. Can you imagine if the Swans had decided to use Mickey O as trade bait a couple of years ago?Comment

BSA5 are you just trying to stir?
From what I've read, Braddy was upset with the lack of consultation; he was on holidays, no-one had given him any cause for concern and suddenly he's to be shipped off to Carlton. Wow, aren't we Swans the lucky ones now?Comment
