    Marty Mattner 150 Games

Just heard on MGFS Super Marty plays his 200th game this weekend.
Seems to have been a Swan forever. Well done Marty.

Congrats to Marty, how many have been for the Swans?

I think it's his 150th this weekend. Easily one of my favourite current Swans, to me he is the true heir to Leo Barry of all the guys in our backline.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

That's early. I remember he reached 100 AFL games just after he started with us. Which was .. end of 2007?

I think you're right. It would have been Craig Boltons 200th if he hadn't got hurt.
          Red & White forever.

            Correct for Bolton.

Mattner 150th game. 52 games with Swans.

It's easy to understand how they could confuse Marty and Craig. I was really surprised when I heard 200 and thought he must have played more at Adelaide. Tks for correction people.

Great work Marty - each year it looks like a better deal for the Swans.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Was very good for us in the back half of last season and has started well this season. Another good Roosy pickup.

                  Onya Marty!

                    Onya Marty.

Another fantastic pickup from another team.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

                      Good stuff Marty.

One of my favs too. Hard work, skills & consistency in equal measures. Critically important to the team make-up. And apart from us fans, a very under-rated player.
To all those people who waited 72 years to see a South Melbourne/Sydney Swans premiership HERE IT IS!!

B arely gets a mention by the callers, and with that brilliant running goal the twits called Reg the whole way in!!!
I love his accuracy and the way he pops up and kicks goals on the run out of nowhere.
We love you Marty, who cares about the rest. Well done for 150. That's a lot of games. Glad you are here.
