Rohan watch

Watching AFL Teams on Foxtel tonight they showed some footage of Rohan in the reserves game last week and were full of praise for him, stating that he's on the verge of getting a game and would be playing in most other teams. Big wraps.

He looked great in the footage shown - just needs to know when he has run 15 metres.

No doubt he is on the cusp of getting a run in the first team- there is a lot to like about how he plays his footy. While we keep winning though its difficult to replace players, especially when for once we haven't really been carrying any passengers in our lineup (Although Jetta is yet to hit his straps, he certainly does enough each week imo to get another game and he is the sort of player that once he has the real break out game there will be no looking back for him).

It's so good to have someone like Rohan in the wings, he appears to be taking big steps already and has all the attributes to become a very good player at AFL level. Along with Jetta, Hannebery, Bird, Johnston etc we've potentially got a very exciting future ahead of us.

It's interesting to observe the degree of respect Sydney is getting right now compared with say 2003. The blokes on League Teams on Fox, (BT, Liam Pickering, David Parkin, and Tony Shaw), all seem to come to a conclusion that Rohan's inability to get into the Swans 22 shows a huge degree of depth in the club. Sydney now has two and possible three 'best' players injured, (Craig Bolton, Ben McGlyn and Craig Bird), you Gary Rohan still can't make the top 22.

I've often fantasised about a Rohan-Jetta foot race. I reckon Gaz has the greater acceleration, but Lewis would probably catch him at top speed. I'm eagerly awaiting for the day they both are in the seniors. The crowd would go off!

How exciting was that footage? Had me scrambling thru team list to see where we could sneak him in. I"m not sure I came up with an answer but I can't wait to see the boy live.
