Seaby looks like he will miss a week at least. Will Mike Pyke come in?

Great win from the Swans - as Nico said earlier, I reckon Goodesy was crook.

Jude Bolton gets the votes for me - purely for guts. Mumford stood up well.

Just back from watching on Fox and a quick run through the thread. A very brave effort from our blokes. They were absolutely stuffed in the last quarter, playing from memory as often as not and the disposals, that were done with such precision in the first half, became very sloppy. I really don't think it was bad play, just loss of skills due to exhaustion. Very good team effort.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Time to give Currie a run if Seaby doesn't play next week?

Might be a case of using White as backup in the ruck and bringing in a smaller, running player like Rohan or Vez.

          I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

We're the most exciting team in the league at the minute, what a turn around.

Great game - a lot of quality players going hammer and tongs. I think it was tiredness and the dewy ball that led to errors in the last term. I didn't think we panicked.

Malceski was sensational - picked up a ton of ball, always used it well, plus a couple of great rundowns.
Well done to Mummo for rucking all night. Big effort in itself and also got hold of the ball at crucial times. Nice hit on JBrown.
Jack has become a real playmaker.
And Braddo! Pity he missed that one at the end. Tom Harley's prediction pre-season was Bradshaw to kick more goals than Hall. He's winning 23-20.

The only worries are Seaby's injury and Jude's possible tribunal appearance. McGlynn said he should be back next week.

Against the good sides we must play smart footy for 4 quarters not one and a half quarters.

I forgot to mention Mcveigh. His last quarter was very good when the chips were down.

Great win, great night, Bradshaw YOU STAR.

Few anxious moments and we could have been in trouble if not for the two very late 3qtr goals, but gee we are good to watch when up and running.

Agree on Malceski but how heart stopping was that grubber across goal in the dying minutes. Our saviour was the Brisbane player who was too tired to take advantage.

It just shows how a player or two down can influence a game. Plenty of our guys were running on empty in the last stanza. Kennedy kept ploughing on though. By the way, how Hawthorn would love to have him and McGlynn right now.

Gutzy win with 23 players, to come back after being challenged to within 10 points really good.

Fev is an amazing crumber for a goal.
But Braddles won the shoot out, how immensely satisfying for him, and us.

Thanks Swannies, that was a brillant night.

Just got back from the game, great crowd tonight a lot of energy.

Thought Mumford was close to best on ground, just kept working and always seemed to be in the mix.

Jude doesn't have any carry-over points does he? Can't remember him every getting reported.

McVeigh to me had a disappointing game, although as Nico mentioned his last quarter was better.

Think there will be a lot of bruised and battered players after tonight's game. tough win.

Just in. Exhausted and in need of FOOD. Fantastic place to be tonight, the SCG.

I have many comments to make, but you will all have to wait for my brilliance - except I would like to say that OPSM must be ruing the day they decided to sponsor the umps, and that Fev is an absolute wanker.

                              Thank you and good night.

Oh and, just for those interested, Monty looked to be almost in tears when greeting his swannie mates. Lots of hugging going on.

I suggest you are alluding to the fact that the umpires are blind. Watching on TV I thought they were OK and we were lucky not to have got a couple against us deep into our defence.
