One other thing, didn't notice Amon until they were shaking hands after the siren, how did he go? I obviously didn't register any of his play.

That's pretty harsh on Jesse, I think he was good last week and earnt his spot as a forward and was good tonight when called upon to be the backup ruckman. From about the 5 minute mark of the game, when they realized how bad Seaby was, White was brought to the bench to be ready to ruck and he spent most of his time rotating between the ruck and bench with a small amount of time in the forward line.

It's not easy to be an undersized ruckman, it takes a lot of heart. Good on him for his performance tonight.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Isn't he just. Three of his four goals were opportunistic after ordinary defender and he got the luck of the fall of the ball. Yet the way he celebrated each one, you'd think he'd either kicked the winning goal or just kicked goal of the year!

Definitely a very nervous time watching that last quarter but they definitely deserved their win in the end. It was a pleasure watching some of the best forwards in the competition ply their trade.

The injury list makes for sorry reading. While I didn't think any of the reserves had a great game this afternoon, a couple of them might get their chance next week. Would love to see Currie get a chance at senior footy and we might finally see Rohan in too. Veszpremi was reasonably good as a mid-sized forward for 3/4 of the game but didn't see him out there towards the end of the game. Anyone know if he got himself injured?

Gutsy win to the boys, hope they all get up for the cattery next week. Goodsy didn't look at all well, anyone know what the problem was?

I'm with you Stella. I thought he competed very credibly in the ruck. He also spent a little bit of time back in defence. We were lucky to have someone of his versatility out there tonight.

Primmy I'm reporting this post simply because what you have said here is an absolute insult to all the wankers in the world. The man has not one redeeming feature and would have to work his way up to wanker.

freaking tense match, crowd got right behind bradshaw, jude typically courageous. backline play was scary at times, we missed B2's usual steadying influence in the defensive 50. good fightback by brisbane, both teams exhausted by the end, we did well to hang on even though we couldn't land the killer blow. agree with Big Al's assessment of Fev. will have to improve against the top teams but the good signs are that we steadied when they came at us and responded with a few goals of our own. we're still on top of the ladder - woo-hoo!

If I could thumbs up you I would. Throw in the Dragons and it was an awesome sporting night overall.

Against the Cats it will be interesting to see if they do bring in a ruckman or as Mike_B said use Jesse as the backup to curve the speed in the Cats team.

Even though the defence at times had me frustrated at times. Like maybe kicking the blooming ball instead of handballing it in a circle for once, it was good to see Mal set up some of those Bradshaw goals.

Had a lot of work done in the second half by the trainer on his legs. Pretty sure he was out there when the siren sounded. Walked a bit gingerly as they did the warmdowns.

Just back home too. Talking about trying to grab defeat from the jaws of victory. That last qtr was very bad. If Lions had kicked straight we would have been done.

So many dumb dumb decisions in that last qtr. They nearly handball themselves to a defeat in the back. McVeigh had a particularly bad shocker. I hope they dissect that last qtr.

Otherwise the rest of the game wasn't too bad.

Brown was very fit. I watched him in the first warm up the teams did and he ran, he turned, he kicked, there was no sign of last week. At that point I was worried.

Considering we lost Seaby in the first minute, Jude playing most of the game thinking he was still dating Delta, Daniel H being off for most of the 2nd qtr and the football ghost of Leo Barry dominating decision making skills in that last qtr - We did very well.

What about the Rave party at Fox Studios today, anyone get caught up in that. I took my two to play in the playground at Fox before the game and they asked to go to the game because the playground was between two doof doof stages. Not to mention the number of Rave patrons "floating on air".

The Bruce Mc "special" for the night was the torp on 3/4 time. That was special.......................

He was fine at the end of the game as I watched him in the cool down with Currie.

Great to get another win - Jude was fantastic. I love Teddy but thought he really struggled with the pace of the game tonight (more than I have seen before) but I hope he able to turn it around on the track as I still like the idea of another brave soldier in defence.
