And so says Leigh.
Pricked pride is behind Bradshaw's resurgence - AFL.com.au
Braddy is quite introverted in personality and does not show his emotions very often. This creates a very laidback and casual demeanour. Consequently, as his coach at the Lions for many years I occasionally wished I could give him an injection of drive and desperation to draw out his inner competitiveness.
I wanted Braddy to not only feel desperate but to look desperate as well.
The forced move to the Swans may have achieved just this because what we are seeing may not be a different character but is certainly a footballer who is displaying all the outward enthusiasm and energy to perform at his best.
As one of the more likeable and trouble-free players in the game, Braddy has a very large cheer squad hoping his purple patch of form continues. -
Due to some quirk of fate I was at the game when Malcolm Blight kicked that goal at Princes Park. I was behind him and barracking for North Melbourne that day, in amongst Carlton supporters and I jumped up while they all hung their heads. It was an amazing atmosphere to put it mildly. My brother barracks for Carlton and we had gone over to Melbourne to see our older brother who was living in Melbourne at the time. Our friend Tony Pickett was playing for Carlton so we went along to see him play. Little did I know I was going to be part of history.
It was a massive kick and really did go further than Bradshaw's...but Bradshaw's is much better because it is for the Swans."The Dog days are over, The Dog days are gone" Florence and the MachineComment
