    Swans Not Rated

Must admit I was flabbergasted to hear this last night how big our odds were, I don't expect to win but ..........
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Could be the "mother of all upsets" at the cattery?

The odds reflect the amount of money invested on the Swans to win. Most punters are like you and don't expect us to win hence the long odds.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Watch out ... here comes the underdog!!
Call us ugly AND send our odds to just slightly better than Richmond.
        I can smell another flag.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

I thought that was the smell of flayed kitty.

At those odds it's worth getting on.

Not neccessarily. Given that it's only Tuesday (and the market only opened yesterday), our price would have been a bookmakers' assessment - not long odds because of the weight of money for Geelong.

What a beat up. Cats have won 25 matches in a row at the Cattery and have played in the last 3 grand finals. $3.75 for the Swans seems about right.

Exactly. Richmond are playing a team that is also winless. We're playing a team that has played in the last 3 GF's and never loses at home.

The appropriate comparison would be against last week. I recall Richmond were at $15 against Geelong, so punters are saying it will be tough for Sydney but hardly comparing us to the bye

It will be interesting to see how much the odds shorten by game day, especially with ottens out and ablett doubtful still

Exactly -its a beat up and a really silly one at that. We may be the top of the ladder - but Geelong are a cut above the rest - and we havent won at the Cattery for 11 years - so really $3.75 isnt as bad as they are making it out to be.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Hmmm I'm not as confident as others - $4.50 would seem more like it to me, especially if it is wet
