Read it here...our hideous record against the top four....

The real top four that is, St. Kilda, Geelong, Collingwood and the Bulldogs

    Played 15 Lost 15 Won 0

    Streaks - Collingwood 8
    Geelong 6
    Bulldogs 4
    St. Kilda 3

Last victory was against St. Kilda Rnd 12 2008.....and that was the only one in 2008

Record since beginning 2008 Played 20 Lost 19 Won 1
    Record since Rnd 8 2006 Played 29 Lost 26 Won 3

29 games...that's a season and third worth of games for 3 measly wins. And that, folks, is why no one rates us. It is almost 2 full years since we won even a single game against a good team. And that's the facts.

Basically half way through our last decent season, 2006, we lost the ability to compete with these four teams and have never got it back. Luckily for us we didn't go near these teams in the 2006 finals.

Cheer, Cheer....what a game for the first EVER live broadcast on New Zealand TV in 2010. Sigh!

    Go Swans!

I think Freo will make top 4 this year.

And it's hard to compare us to ANY 'top 4' teams this year.
You really can only compare us to the 'other top 4 teams' which is 3 teams, considering we'll be using up one spot

I still hold faith that the Wobbles will, um, wobble, and drop off towards the end of the season.
The difference between insanity and genius is measured only in success.

Look ...don't depress me any further please with these stats thingies. Hard enough coping as it is being a Swans supporter through thin and thin.

Freo may make the top four....but they won't be one of "OUR" top four for a long, long time....unless we lose 3 in a row and become part of our top 5 (like Adelaide were).

We're not a top 4 side? OK. Thanks for the update.

Another RWO thread inspires a journo's story?

Dissection of Swans' record shows they're being quartered

If Sydney's lazy footy journos need further story ideas or questions for Roos at his next presser here are a few:
                  • Why was Playfair prefered over more in form players in the 2s (the puff pieces on Friday were laughably out of step with reality)
                    • Why is Turnover Ted played when it is blatantly obbious there is no match up for him?
                  • Why can't Patty Veszpremi get a game?
                  • Why can't Dan Currie get a game in front of a bloke who while apparently trying hard, still has little clue how to play the game? When, if ever, will he be ready?
                  • Why did Matt O'Dwyer suddenly fall out of favour?
"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

Most of my mates are St. Kilda supoorters. Trust me, it's a much easier gig going for the Bloods.

For those asking abouot MOD, he was warming up really hard all by himself in the 'fishbowl' training room at Manuka just before the game started, I tried to ask him (thru the glass) if he was playing, but he just grinned at us.
