Turnover Ted - He needs a thread of his own

How did this man get a game last week against the Dogs after his inept performance against the Cats.

The continued selection of Ted is mystifying to say the least.

Some may say that we need the height in the backline, and others will say that he is not the only one who has performed poorly in recent games. But that would be from the few, who believe footballers should not be criticised as they all try hard.

Don't get me wrong as I've been a fan of Ted, but ATM he is not playing at a standard that is expected from an AFL footballer. His pace has dropped off and he seems to have lost strength (or confidence) as he is not even being competitive in the one-on-one contests.

Personally, I would select someone like Lewis Johnston or a Campbell Heath ahead of Ted. They may be beaten over 4 quarters, but at the very least you will get the youthful exhuberance and a contest.

Can we please stop all this beating up on our players? This incessant harping on and on is a waste of cyberspace.

I agree, it's getting beyond pathetic.

We've lost some games, ..it happens!

Ted is the least of our problems.

Our forward line was rubbish, we have a hack and a full forward playing ruck and, besides McVeigh, our midfield is struggling.

Ted is not our best player. Not particularly world shattering news, but there you are. He is however willing and has game experience. And a Swan through and through. And is not intimidated by the opposition......its not a huge wrap, but he is better than quite a few others on our list, past and present. He is not, for instance, Scotty Russell. Sorry Scotty, but honestly.............

Yep, not up to it at the moment. Gets beaten as a key defender and he's not much good as the support act, as his decision making is very ordinary.

His best role is loose man in defense - like Jason Cloke, what happened to him again?

He is already a very loose man in defence.

I was actually hoping he would hang up the boots last season. He continues to be a liability for us again this season.

4 years is a hell of a long time in footy. He seems like he has lost a yard in pace in each of those four years and a minute in reaction time each year.

IMO He's been a more than useful player over his years in the red and white...
With the risk of sounding like the iron maiden of stone age commentary... Walls ..I say...." throw him in the ruck", no one else will get near Sandilands anyway, and he'll be a lot more useful around the ground than Pyke.
