I wonder how he'd go now at the highest level?Comment

Wouldn't be the worst one to look at, given M Barlow and Podsiadly's success this year. And he'd know what would be required having been here before. Who was our last player to get punted but fight back to become a great of the club?"It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

I thought he would be a goer for the first two ressies games I watched, then I thought to myself 'well, DO something!'. Eventually he reached a plateau and there he stayed, but I gave up on him, he just seemed to spectate. Perhaps being tossed b ack into the pile wakes them up big time, but I don't think I can remember a relegated player come back into contention - anyone? They are usually relegated for a reason. That's a lot of money invested in something that's not working.
We watch so many other boys who arrive with ability, and achieve more and more, and eventually they make it to the big time. And we watch others who arrive with ability, try their hearts out, and just don't get to any great heights no matter how much effort they make (Braba), and there are the others who get here and after two games you say to yourself, "whoooo, lock them in!"
More often than not, as a ressie watcher, you can pick what is going to happen within a few games. I always thought Flipper might make it, but he never grew......like watching a flea. Then there was Smokey, all bright eyes and hope, but.......... And Willoughby, all personality, ability, and plateau....... They might love playing, want it like mad, but it never gets more than SANFL, VFL, WAFL, etc......not AFL.
The most disappointing player for me was Vogels. He had style, ability, etc, but .......he was just "there".....and Sunny too.....thought he could find the "it" factor.......and ......Last edited by Primmy; 20 May 2010, 09:20 AM.If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!Comment

You could say Monty, but the fact he never actually left the club (till October 09) rules him out.
Just clarifying that my comments are based on never having seen Faulks play (based solely on the success of the pair I mentioned earlier), so those that have are obviously more in the know."It's up to the rest of the players in the room to make a new batch of premiership players next year," Adam Goodes, triple Bob Skilton Medallist, October 7, 2011.

Buchanan was delisted after missing a year with a broken leg...was only delisted so that we could use up a draft pick on him 'cos we didn't want to delist anyone at the time.
There was a fella called Kirk who got demoted and managed to get back up.
Zac Dawson
Aaron Edwards
