    Patiently waiting for MRP details...

I forgot about mentioning it early, but Hannebery smashed that umpire (jeffreys) pretty hard (not hard enough obviously... he got up) on Sat.

Knowing our luck, anything could happen from no case to answer to 3 weeks.

My opinion is that he should be suspended for 3 weeks.

Not sure what Dan should get though.

Jeffreys' performance was disgraceful on Saturday. Dan should get 20 bonus Dream Team points for knocking him over...

Goodesy tripped an umpire also. He'll probably get a couple of months at least.

Wouldnt the AFL be rubbing their hands atm.

If we DO end up with further suspensions cause the umpires are getting in the friggen way then i think it's time we make an official complain in the media and then rattle the tin to pay for the fine. I am more than happy to put in 100 bucks if it sees us sticking it up good and proper to the A(V)FL.

Heck it worked for hirdy and the bombers in 2004.

The only time player contact to an umpire be reviewed is if it's in the car park an hour after the game.

Just read on afl.com.au the MRP report and no mention of Hannebery but Fyfe was fined

Not sure if the Fyfe one was the one I thought was Hanners. I thought the ump was Jeffreys. Guess I have to watch the replay now.

Hanners definitely collided with the umpire at one point. Poor lad was confused for a moment whether to stop to make sure the umpie was OK or to run towards where the next contest was.

He was quite apologetic wasn't he? : )

I think everyone around me was screaming out in appreciation for his efforts. There was a really bad call from memory made just before the incident and I'm sure many people thought it was a nice bit of karma. Unfortunately the ump wouldn't see it that way!

                          Exactly what I saw.

TBH, I didn't see the actual contact, but Hanners sort of hovered over him and appeared to ask him if he was OK or apologising, with no other players really in the vicinity. I just assumed they'd come into contact.

I think that the new Monte Carlo system they are using for the MRP is working really well
