    collingwood supporters are worst.

Hawthorn are smug cause of their last 30 years and really there is no real comeback if you have seen your team win so many flags in such a short time. But the pie fans think they are entitled to the same type of arrogance as hawthorn even though their glory years was just a few years after world war 1.

Had a Hawthorn supporter on my facebook page complaining that the swans play the worst brand of footy and saying it was a shocking game to watch beacuse of us.

For one i tought it was a fantastic game to watch, hard and tough, and i don't attribute the blame for the way the game was played to us entirely.

exactly often 36 players round the ball, last i checked it means both teams are there. Every game you watch every team crowds the ball its modern footy

I thought that was exactly how a game of footy should be played. Hard and lots of contest and players giving it their all. A lot of younger supporters love the no stoppages loose players and coast to coast shoot out. I call it ADD football.

Loved todays game even though we lost.

He's just talking out of bitterness - most of the Hawks games since their flag have been shocking games to watch - the common ingredient in those games are, you guessed it, THE HAWKS! He's also a crap judge - although scrappy, was a pretty good contest. And his cruddy team got of out jail for the second time in three weeks - clearly a cup half empty kind of fan!

Misguided blameshifting might make him feel better today, but it will provide only short term relief!!

Digressing, what odds Buddy gets off on some technicality ... he does play for a victorian glamour club after all!

or the MRP may ping him for the trip as well - it looked very sneaky and deliberate on the TV coverage.

It sure did. But hasn't drawn a peep from south of the border since .. surprise surprise! Dustin Fletcher pretty hard done by in comparison - Buddy's was as deliberate as Fletcher's, which could have be classed as a tackle sliding down (and therefore no case to answer). Instead Dustin is out and Buddy's not even contemplated.

                    Not entirely true....

                    "Other incidents assessed:
Contact between Hawthorn?s Lance Franklin and the Sydney Swans? Gary Rohan from the fourth quarter of Sunday?s match was assessed. The panel said that Franklin was moving in to guard the mark with his arms outstretched, should the Sydney player move off his line. It was determined that Franklin was attempting to stop his momentum to guard the mark, when contact was made, and there was no deliberate trip."

Not that I agree with that, I thought watching it at the time that it was no accident. As did my Hawthorn supporting mate who I now owe a slab too.

Totally agree. It was my first ever footy game at the MCG and was a real treat. Only disappointment was the pretty ordinary kicking from both sides, but it was very windy. But it was fantastic, tough, exciting football and that is why I love watching our side play. Its not pretty sometimes, but it is absolutely engrossing, and yesterdays match was a cracker.

Did they look at the same incident??

The one i'm thinking and I guess everyone else as well, did not happen in the fourth quarter.

How about the "Mummy" tackle laid by Buddy in the 1st quarter?
Exactly the same type of tackle, body slammed into the ground, ony with 2 differences.

                          1) the player's head didn't hit the ground.
                          2) It was not GAJ.

But we all reacted the same way, as it was the same slinging tackle.

Reading that tripe it would have done the MRP's (already pathetic) credibility more good to have said nothing. It was undeniably deliberate.

If your mate has any integrity, he will let you keep half the slab!

Actually, I think it is as BBB says - the one where he stuck his foot out as our player (can't remember who it was - Hanners maybe?) was running past and away from our attacking direction I think was earlier in the match ... amazing to think he has possibly put on TWO trip attempts in one match!
