Now I'm confused. I thought the beginning of this thread referred to an incident where ROK was on the ground after a tackle and an opposing player dropped to his knees and slid into ROK's head. That's not the incident Melbourne _Blood was referring to, which happened in the 3rd Qtr with about 11 minutes to go.

Now I'm beginning to wonder if the incident I was remembering came from another game - the grass looked a different colour green in my memory.

So, Triple B, thanks for not lettting this one go through to the keeper, it'll bug me now until I work out which incident I was referring to. And I'll have to withdraw my offer to confront big bad Brown, at least on this occasion.

Trying to injure someone on the ground is not brave.
He is a gutless dog just like his old man.
Shame his injury is not career ending. People like him have no place in the modern game.

I saw Ian Cooper of Collingwood get his jaw broken by Mal Brown in about 1976 at Victoria Park. There was a scuffle and Brown threw a punch or three. Not as classy as Barry Hall but had the desired effect. Brown was considered an animal back then. I don't think his son is quite at that level.
