    Greg Inglis to Bombers

Rarely watch the NRL Footy Show but with all the stuff this week I watched it last night.

They Interviewed Greg Inglis, who categorically stated he would never play against the Storm. They asked about him going to AFL and he repeated what he said.

The interesting thing was they showed footage (coincidence????) of training and both Storm and Carlton were training on Princes Park. Apparently a Sherrin came over to the Storm guys. Inglis picked it up and kicked the ball from the 50 metre mark where it joins the boundary and the ball sailed through goals and still about 6 metres above the goal posts. It would have been an amazing kick from and AFL player.

At 23, it is not surprising the Bumbers are after him. Couldn't find anything on you You Tube but jaw dropping goal kick.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

As I understand it, the majority of the massive salaries given to Folau and Hunt come under the 'marketing' budget of the two new teams. Essendon won't have access to such money, so I can't see the Bombers having the financial clout to lure Inglis to their club.

Inglis is the one I'd love to see in the AFL, but I'd prefer one of the non big 4 in Melbourne to get him.

So the AFL is going to pay Inglis to market the sport in Melbourne?

And wherever else Essendon plays apparently.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

They seem to be selling it on the "Aboriginal talent in NSW/QLD" ticket.
