geez, I almost forgot all about this fellow. Got to the pub late in the first quarter of yesterday's game, noticed that Bird was playing, tried to remember when he last played for us, I think he got injured in round 1, and for the rest of the game was very impressed with his ball use. Nothing flash, but very good all the same. Handy inclusion.

A very important player for us, especially as Kirk bows out and Father Time beckons Jude.He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Yes, I've been toying with this concept as well for next year once Kirky bows out. I'm starting to lean toward Nick Smith. I love those players that punch above their weight. Back on topic though - great to see Bird back, and the famous #14 out and about. It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.
