    geez, I almost forgot all about this fellow. Got to the pub late in the first quarter of yesterday's game, noticed that Bird was playing, tried to remember when he last played for us, I think he got injured in round 1, and for the rest of the game was very impressed with his ball use. Nothing flash, but very good all the same. Handy inclusion.

      There was some real quality about his work and he'll be much better for the run.

          Very safe hands in wet weather. Once he gets his fitness and game time up, watch out. He was injured in the pre-season, by the way. This was his first game of the year.
          Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

              A very important player for us, especially as Kirk bows out and Father Time beckons Jude.
              He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

                              Yes, I've been toying with this concept as well for next year once Kirky bows out. I'm starting to lean toward Nick Smith. I love those players that punch above their weight. Back on topic though - great to see Bird back, and the famous #14 out and about.

                                  Played a part in the match-winning (okay, match-sealing) goal as well.

                                  We'll always go alright around the tough stoppages, as long as this guy and Jack (among others) are out there.
