Crowd Predictions for Swans vs Pies @ ANZ Stadium

The rugby test drew a crowd of about 48,000, which wasn't too bad. Rows and rows of empty seats aren't a good look on TV, though.
For everyone's information, here's the seating figures for ANZ Stadium:
*Level 1 has a capacity of 43,000, plus another 1,700 for the covered section behind goal at the northern end of the ground.
*Level 4 has a capacity of 10,000 - 5,000 on each side.
*Level 6 has a capacity of 24,000 - 12,000 on each side.
If there are people seated in Level 6, that usually means Level 1 and 4 - a total seating capacity of 54,700 - has sold out.
I think we'll probably get a crowd of about 45,000, weather permitting.Last edited by Cheer Squad; 23 June 2010, 06:43 PM.Comment

Level 4 is platinum and so are lots of areas in Level 1. If people are sitting on Level 6 it has nothing to do with sell outs in the lower level. I agree with your crowd assumption though. If it's really noisy will make up for numbers. The rugby test drew a crowd of about 48,000, which wasn't too bad. Rows and rows of empty seats aren't a good look on TV, though.

And I reckon we're gonna have quite a lot of Collingwood supporters there. There's been a decent build-up to this game, and now that the Socceroos are finished, we might get a bit more attention in the next couple of days.
I agree about noise making up for a lack of numbers at ANZ. It all depends what's happening on the field.
I really hope we win.Comment

totally agree - they (the pies people) seem to take up much of that upstairs bit at the northern end above the members too - oh well stock up on the butter mentols and lets yell the joint down!!!And I reckon we're gonna have quite a lot of Collingwood supporters there. All I ask for is that our fans outnumber the Bogan Army.
I have been to every home game against the Bogans for the last few years and will be there again on Saturday night.
It was bloody embarrasing to be outnumbered by opposition fans in our own city.
Come on Swans fans, if you don't have your tickets for Saturday night get online and grab some.
There's no worse sight in football than a stadium full of Collingwood yobbos.
