    THE AFL has targeted 100 young Australian sportsmen playing college basketball in the United States in a bid to lure elite talent from other sports as the league expands to 18 teams.

      So the AFL concedes that it hasn't really got enough juniors to nurture for the new two teams so it has to go scab off other sports.

          These players come into a Club outside of the draft, so makes sense in the next three years. Better than scouting the Congo for mid fielders.
