    Geelong v Saints

Go Cats. Hurt those bogans. Continue their suffering.
    Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.

I came on to post how well Schneids and Dempster were going. Messy old game but very evenly matched and a hard contest. Some sore bodies after this and a lot of people lighter in the pocket. About a million dollars worth of fines for wrestling and quite a few little punches off the ball.

Schneider best on ground so far (nearly 3/4 time).

Amazingly good 3rd quarter by the Saints.

Schneids had a blinder that qtr. Hats off to Rossy - excellent defense to hold Cats held scoreless for a qtr. When was the last time that happened?

It was Rd 22, 1984. The Saints have been amazing. Schneider has kicked 4 goals and first time he has kicked 4 at the MCG.

Dumpster is superb - JPOD, Selwood, Stevie J! Go Zoolander.
I had not noticed previously how much faking and head ducking the Cats do to attract a free. Good to see umpires whistles are away.

Cats cant break through. Their forward line is getting slaughtered. And the balls too wet to kick long.

Saints should sneek home. Great win without Capt Sooky Lala.

Big night for the comp and a wake up call for the "Cats by how far" camp, Saints wonderful tonight after a horror week off field. It's an open comp again.

No goal in the 2nd half for the Cats. Crazy.

Again proved that a game doesnt have to be high scoring to be good. Opens up the premiership race a bit. All coaches of teams playing Geelong this year will watch that 2nd half closely.

And the comp's often-rated best fullback was pinged a couple of times for holding. About bloody time.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I might send Paul Roos a copy just in case.

Just saw the crowd figure, 58,000 on a shocker night in Melbourne, that city never fails to amaze me when it comes to our great game.
