Deserved every one of them. 3 very decent punches head high at different times. If Hally had done it he would have got 3 years. Baker has a long history and its caught up with him at last

A couple were harshly dealt with, but in isolation he deserved citation on all of them. Hiliarious how it works though, he is going to get longer than Hally who could have killed Staker.

Johnson was lucky not to get longer also.

Or unlucky that the Judd rule doesn't apply to him.

I only half watched that game and have avoided sports news programmes since Saturday night's debacle so haven't seen all the incidents. Those I did see didn't appear to have much force behind them. Baker has copped a very harsh whack at the tribunal over his career - particularly his very long stretch a few years back where there was no video evidence to support the charge. In most instances, the MRP claims it can't lay a charge in those cases.

I wholeheartedly agree. Cheap thug. Good stopper, but cheap thug all the same.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Pretty harsh, nothing Baker did earned a free for Johnson, nothing Baker did caused an injury, the retaliation by Sj caused quite a serious eye injury.
                      12 weeks v. 3 weeks Mmmmmmm..... i don't quite get it.

It may as well be wheel of fortune. No system to any suspension handed down - the MRP is a circus.

                          My thoughts too Liz.
You'd think the Cats will be jumping all over the Judd incident in Johnsons defence.

He was actually suspended on 4 seperate incidents, compared to 1 by Johnson.

The problem with those four incidents individually is that most weeks they are ignored by the MRP as being incidental, or light force etc. It seems that they wanted to make a stand against the tagger this week and so Baker gets the shaft. The whole tribunal / disciplinary system seems to be getting worse.
