McVeigh and Bolton sound like they are in everything.
Goodesy needs to lift in the 2nd half - he is too good for his output so far.Comment

Why is everone booing Goodes? I assume it's the Tiger supporters.
Playfair is in real trouble with his lower back and Richo on sideline says he won't be back. For benefit of non TV listeners. In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.Comment

Macca has been great, LRT has done a top job on the last line of defence and KJACK has had his moments.
Excited me when Goodes run into the centre square and got a great clearance, really confirmed to me where he needs to be.
We look great occasionally, but awful most of the time, hopefully we can prove ourselves to be a TOp 8 team in this 2nd half.
P.S TDL really needs to deal with the fact that he is playing AFL, EVERYTHING he does looks nervy. Hope he can snap out of it and have some type of impact.Comment

I still don't get why he is in the team. Two of his passes that he hit the target were about kicked from about 40 out dead in front. FFS he is a forward, he should be going back to line it up and kick the goal, but instead he dished it off to Shaw who missed and TDL who missed.
Got on top in that second quarter and if we can take our chances than we will win fairly comfortably I think.Last edited by mcs; 4 July 2010, 03:23 PM."You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Won't be a great loss if we lose Playfair for the game. How can you have a key forward who can't make the distance from 45? That's the only reason he passed off on those two occasions.
I reckon Shaw's been pretty bad as well. Not sure if Bird's is playing a role he's suited to.
On a positive note, McVeigh is again showing his class and Jude and McGlynn are tough as always."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk
