From the man who was happy to be interviewed during the game.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

What a stupid thing to say.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Why; its a fair assessment of the team today, we were outplayed by the potential wooden spooners; they were harder at the ball...
On a side note the commentary on Ch 7 was so one sided it was boardering on pathetic..

Over the past few years you really got a sense that the Leadership group kept the team together and focused. Just seems lately that it's everyone for themselves. I guess nothing lasts forever.

He's right though. If you can't beat the team on the bottom then you yourself are rock bottom.

Comments of someone limping to 200 games as a coach. He sounded very disinterested to me regardless of how accurate the comment may have been.

We're in the 8 - do you know the definition of a bottom side?

Roos is frustrated with the playing group, the playing group should be frustrated with him. Bottom coach.

He got over $5 mil for his house, life can't be too bad for him.

He's ready to move on to the next phase of his life. After reading his book I have no doubt he and the club designed a succession plan for him to end this year. Trouble is while the team is going well it is easy to hand over, the problem is the wheels have got wobbly and it is a long season, and he now needs to recharge and finish with enthusiasm so that the succession plan finishes on a good note. The whole idea of a succession plan is for the new leader to take over the business or club on a high or an up where things are in good shape for the future.

We've lost 6 out of the last 8. The two wins came against Port - who can't beat anyone - and a very poor Essendon team at the SCG. I can't see anything to suggest Roos knows how to turn it around.

The Tigers won't get the wooden spoon this year, they are much better than at the start of the season. We ran out of puff against a group of enthusiastic kids who fought hard and deserved the win. They took their chances and made them count as opposed to squandering numerous opportunities to put them away.

I think that if the game plan can't work against the inexperienced kids anymore, it's surely time to make some serious changes. I'm all for kicking sideways and over possessing the ball if it works, but clearly it aint working no more.

It's obvious Roos is a one plan pony, and if we are a bottom side, it's due to the selection policies and unwillingness to adapt to change.

I agree. I am a bit worried about next year already. Will there be some change/new life, or more of the same old same old?
