We looked a lot less potent today, when Shaw went down back.
His pace off the mark, is hard to combat for a backman. And he received it lace out a few times today.

We need players with flair who are prepared to take a risk and we have precious few of them. The last thing we need to do is get rid of one of our few attacking players. I hated it when we recruited him but I'm fair enough to judge him on his performances and I say: Go the Simian.
        Oh please.

Two weeks ago (when I made that statement) Shaw was playing in the backline, where he was struggling to find a place. Struggling so much that he was put in the forward line.

Who thought he would be so effective as a forward, did it cross anyones mind?

He played very well today, it's handy to know that he can play up forward even if he isn't the best kick.

Yep, a number of times and I have said so on RWO.

Rhys was okay today. He presented well enough. Still has a bit of the yips with his kicking. Good on him for making the most of the chance up forward but I stand by my claims that during the past month or so off half back that he lost complete confidence. Also, his body language was showing a frustration and immaturity with his own form and transferring that to the mistakes of others.

Proud of Rhyce today (yesterday). He has been pretty @@@@ty of late, and must have been given a massive challenge to improve his game, and take his leadership sideways and show what he could do when given the major responsibility of heading up the forward line. He has a tendancy to mind everyone elses business up in the backline, but he had to do what he had to do in the forward line, make his own space and do what a full forward does, and bless the lad he did. Could signal a change for him. Happy I am.

His pace and bodywork was what killed his opponents yesterday. I was super impressed with the body work in particular. Good to see a shining light in what many thought would be a struggling forward line.

The last two weeks he has more than made up for any perceived slump in form - despite what he himself thinks, I think he's been going great guns.

Putting him forward was a brilliant move by whichever coach made it.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
