I think this "reporter" is confused about whether you can score a try when you have your foot outside the line

Spot on. The Tele is confusing aussie rules to league. Again. The ball must be wholly over the line to be considered out. If there is doubt (blindsided by a player, etc) the benefit of doubt is given to keeping the ball live.10100111001 ;-)Comment

Can see myself on the replay, was in Row A and right on that one. Couldn't believe the boundary made the call it was out, was giving him plenty afterward. You see most of the boundaries giving a bit more benefit of the doubt these days knowing the the whole perimeter of the footy has to be completely over the outside edge of the boundary line. When you think about that the ball can look very much oob but if it's not completely over it's not out.Comment

Another journalist who hasn't the faintest clue about the subject he is writing about.I feel a little cruel pointing it out but apparently he was deemed to have put a foot out of bounds

Anybody who watches the game even occasionally knows that it is only the ball that matters. We have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan!Comment

Anyway, the Bombers are allowed to kick goals against the Swans from beyond the boundary. And the post padding is thicker at whatever end we're kicking to.
On the subject of posters, a friend who is an LRT detractor called out when he lined up for goal last week "see the big sticks you idiot - aim for them" and when he hit the post called "my fault - I should have told you to aim between the sticks".Comment

So true. I still blue with a Bomber-Friend (if that isn't a contradiction in terms) over that incident. We were screwed. The sooner there is a video review like the Test Cricket the better. My opinion is objective truth in its purest formComment
