I wonder just why both mummy and Pyke don't like kicking the ball

They seem to want to hand pass all the time.
    It's a long way down?

Team ethos behind revival: Roos - Official AFL Website of the Sydney Swans Football Club

It says in this article that Mummy is out for next week. Probably do what the Swans did when he was suspended or does Currie get a chance.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

I'd like to see Currie get the job. Ideal game to make his debut.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I know you would all like to see Crusher but......I would be surprised, nay probably slightly panic stricken, if he did.

i reckon LRT will come in and give pyke a rest when he needs it, good way to fit him in without dropping players after a really good performance

I think that Pyke's stamina will enable him to do the bulk of the rucking.

Watching him in the Reserves last year I thought he was taking a long time to get his head around the game and thought he wouldn't make it to the firsts. Very glad I was wrong, and his game by game improvement this year has been exciting. Don't think we'll regret keeping him. Looking forward to his remaining games this year and hope he keeps his spot for as far as we go.

More than 20 hitouts already against a strong brisbane ruck division, I don't think seaby will get back into the team, and pyke is also a monster around the ground

Anybody just see that passage of play? Tap-out - intercept - handball - textbook tackle - free kick for HTB. Stepped up tonight in a big big way.

Really enjoying the way he is going about it. Just keeps improving exponentially. Will be better next year and after that who knows.

AFL site is giving him credit for 33 Hit Outs, 8 Tackles, 6 Kicks and 9 Handballs

jolly had 28 hit outs, 2 tackles, 3 kicks and 4 handballs

Excellent developing game to M Pyke

His tackling was nothing short of brilliant tonight, especially in the final term. He can win tap outs to advantage, take contested marks, and worry defenders enough to win free kicks. I;d have him in our top two or three for tonight, notwithstanding that dodgy kick in defence.

Must have learnt that from Mummy!

But agreed, he was very good.

I would have thought he learnt that from the Canadian rugby team. Once he tackles somebody, they stay tackled.

Ah, so I had it the wrong way round. Mumford must have learnt his tackling from Pyke then!

Inspired game tonight. Really stood up when it counted.
I thought he was one of the best on the ground.
