The positives

Though to stay on thread, my offering would be 'No injuries from this game', though you wouldn't really be expecting any from a performance like that I suppose. It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

if the season ended right now overall there would be more positives than negatives. I think the weakest part of our list is sadly the players who should be at their peak, too many of them go missing, i would say the 24-28 year olds are that group
Shaw, Rhyce 28yr 9mth
Mattner, Martin 27yr 11mth
Richards, Ted 27yr 6mth
Roberts-Thomson, Lewis 26yr 10mth
Pyke, Mike (R) 19 26yr 4mth
Seaby, Mark 26yr 2mth
Malceski, Nick 25yr 11mth
Bevan, Paul 25yr 9mth
McVeigh, Jarrad 25yr 3mth
McGlynn, Ben 24yr 11mth
Moore, Jarred 24yr 4mth
Grundy, Heath 24yr 1mth
Mumford, Shane 24yr 5
as a whole i dont think we get enough out of this bracket of players
but i think the players are the bottom of this list are all looking good and if you keep going down the list in age they are starting to show a bit and for me thats the big positive of the seasonTheres not much left to sayComment

A few comments here about White leading well, and yes he did take a couple of marks on good leads. However at the ground it was apparent that these were the exception. Most of the time he had no idea where or when to lead - or where to lead from. On several occasions our attacks broke down because our main tall target was not making position to receive the ball.
I also noticed his lack of defensive effort - he does not react quickly enough when his man runs off him, and does not chase hard enough.
The popular theory was that Bradshaw would help White's development by teaching him how to play the position. Well, on the basis of this season, either Braddie is a lousy teacher or big Jess is a slow learner.
I like White, and am bullish about his future, but I wouldn't be overly positive about his game yesterday, despite the more-than-acceptable return of 3 goals.Comment

Interesting. I had been on holidays for a few weeks and did not realise that the joyful negativity had been stopped by a couple of sweet wins (seems like I missed the best of RWO then). You never know though, maybe the 'impossible' of the next few weeks can become 'possible' once again if the players turn it around - go Swans!Comment

Bevan only moved to Green after half time. Green did most of his damage in the first half on Richards.Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!Comment

some of these guys are doing well and some need to improve
McGlynn, Mummy, Mal, Grundy, LRT have been doing really well
McVeigh has plenty of talent but just cant seem to get it all together and get back into the form that won him the skilton
Moore - Needs to improve if hes going to be a long term senior player
Richards, mattner, Shaw, bevan - Need to seriously consider their value to the list moving forward
Seaby - injured all yearComment

actually i think richards started on him - but dunn kicked the first goal and then grundy moved to him while richards got dunn. green kicked his first two goals on grundy i think.
bevan went to him late in the first quater. it was obvious at the ground that during the early avalanche that the swans backmen were all being mixed and matched. shaw started forward and was back after 3-4 goals, johnson went forward at one point and had pyke with him, and grundy then moved onto dunn.
you could tell they had no idea who should match up on whom and the demons were very good at putting players into difficult situations. as soon as bevan went onto green all the demons forwards went to hf and bevan was one out with green.
in relation to white i don't think he lead at all well - the two goals he kicked were despite his failure to lead - but he read them better in the air - both goodes and hannebury kicked from about 50 without much penetration and he started shoulder to shoulder and got in front. he's actually reasonably quick in a short sharp sprintComment

Players and pundits will stop using the cliche - "Whenever you play the Swans you know you're going to get a contest."
Now you don't know. The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.Comment
