    Bombers gold stripe

Wondered what the significance of the gold strip on their left shoulder was? I know this is the wrong forum but hoped to get a fast answer before I'm delegated to general footy stuff..

The Cancer Council's 'Call to Arms' cause. Some of the players had yellow boots as well.

The ads have been on Tv all week...across all codes, it has been going on for a few years. The first year the AFL fined Essenndon $20,000.00 because they didn't want to approve it and the club went ahead with it regardless.

I don't know about Sydney, but there was a RL player in the ad as well as a soccer player and an AFL player.

Ads were on in Sydney the same as they were in Melbourne. Essendon started it to raise money for cancer research in the wake of Adam Ramanauskes' recurring cancers. Any club can register and raise money in July on the website.
