    Geelong in game discussion

We've been handed a lifeline after last week with Carlton getting spanked today and Hawthorn losing to Port late in the last... a win tonight will put us in 6th position

Apparently Cyril might do some time too. Shame.

Geelong lost to the crows just 2 weeks ago... They also lost to carlton. 2 teams that we have beaten. They're hardly unbeatable.

Half time, having not seen or heard anything of the game itself, I'd say we are our own worst enemy

                Sydney 16 scoring shots, Geelong 11 ... Score - Swans 4.12 36 ... Cats 10.1 61

I am watching it, they are trying MUCH harder than last week. Geelong are in their top form....

The team is working its guts out but being crucified by mindless short passing to players under pressure that has resulted in 4 goals.

Goodes across the centre, Mattner at least twice (getting sick of this rubbish from him), McGlynn (OOF free), Grundy twice (that last one was woeful), White. When we put the ball long and put the Cats defence under pressure we look much better. We have been doing this rubbish foot turnover for years. Is this part of the game plan? Happens too often.

Back onto Mattner; gets the ball miles clear in the centre and stabs it 20 metres to nothing.
Grundy kicks it 20 metres around the boundary to a contest where the Geelong player is in front. Sheesh.

Unlike last week, at least there is some effort being shown - actively trying to upset Geelong.

Our delivery into the forward 50 is pretty ordinary but at least we look competitive at this stage.

The ground surface is terrible - why do we play here? Are we actually getting money to play or is it just to promote the game? As soon as GWS come in I would give this ground a miss.

I hate to say it but Jesse White needs to "crack a few skulls". "take no prisoners" etc. I thought he was OK last week but he really needs to impose his big frame on the game a bit more - if he causes more spillages and players on the ground we might be able to shark a few goals. I say this because I realise the delivery to him is average at best.

Typical wet weather ground; real footy. Miles better than that horrible Ethihad Stadium in Melbourne.

Chapman, Ling and Corey with injuries. Surely we can grind out a good second half.

Perhaps we can lend them some of our slack defenders and turnover specialists.

Another one. Bevan could have gone on but waited for them to flood back. Why am I not surprised.
