Maybe the Gov't could run a referendum in conjunction with the federal election.....

Best place for Jessie is probably the Gold Coast.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Spot on Annie, and quickly while he still has trade value.

Half of TDL's goals came from standing at White's feet, you could clearly see his teammates acknowledging that as well. You were at the game Annie, you must have seen the guy busting a gut leading up and down the ground- forgiveable to miss it on the television coverage, not so much when you're at the game.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

On the Tele he was missing in action from the first 10 minutes until he appeared in the Ruck in the last 10 minutes. And his efforts in the ruck were at best comical. Admittedly he may have done more live but 5 possessions in a game we dominated where everyone else got double figures is a bit hard to defend IMO.

He didn't do much live. He did a few good things, but mostly, I spent the night turning around to one of my nieces who loves him to bits and telling her to get over her love, it's time to find a new boyfriend. Lead up and down and missed quite a few easy marks he should have taken. TDL was picking up his fallen crumbs and turning them into a five-star dessert. TDL wins.

I believe that if you can touch the ball, you should be able to mark it.

I think for once this team may just have too many forwards!!

Was about to say the same thing Stella!! Honestly you lot, you just don't appreciate what his job is! The players acknowledge him so often, take a hint.....his job is to be a nusance, a big one, and to bring the ball to ground because we have all these small players, see, and we do not have huge forwards, geddit> He is doing his job, he has a big smile on his face, he isn't dropping his head, its because he knows he is doing what he is asked to do.....mutter mutter growl....

People who think Jesse should be traded are very, very silly indeed. He worked hard last night and did his job. Had the forethought to punch the ball straight to TDL when he had 2 or 3 extra Bulldogs in the marking contest. It would be extremely shortsighted to get rid of him at this stage of his development.

One or two good things a game for a key forward is just not enough. He has been in the system for 4 years and has had plenty of chances. 5 possessions last night and his effort in the ruck was laughable.

See, I knew I wouldn't agree with you all the time aaaaa......we had one big Canadian, and a broken Mummy, and a pinch hitter who hasn't rucked except as an occasional emergency......being a nusance (wish I could spell that word) isn't in the stats, nor is goal assist......he has HIS job to do.....which is different. Remember when Kirky became a defensive midfielder? That position didn't exist once. And when Goodsy became a ruckman who ran and kicked goals? That position was the only one in town once. He is doing the job he is asked to do, he is not being dragged and having his ear chewed by the coaches.....or by me.

I suppose its possible Roosy has invented another new position and if we keep kicking winning scores I don't have much of an argument. I will bow to your greater wisdom......for now. and speaking of Pykie wasn't he fabulous last night, boy can he take a mark.

It's boom or bust for big Jessie on this site.

The pro Jessie mob say he plays a brilliant game when he is terrible (think last night and Port Adelaide game)

The anti Jessie mob say get rid of him, trade him, we don't want him.

Surely there is a happy medium? Should he be part of our long term plans? Yes! Is his job to bring the ball to the ground? No! It's to kick bloody goals.
