Roos is very measured with his words. I remember once trying to get an answer out of him about why Andrew Schauble wasn't getting a game. So I doubt it's a dummy spit. Why bother? Maybe he's doing the "bad cop" to Frosty's and Horse's 'good cops". This would be about the last time he could do it as the next few games will be too close to the golden glow surrounding his and Kirk's final games. But now he's just a coach trying to get his team to the finals. I bet it's something that has been thought through - just as the rush to get a core of Swans players onto contracts for the next few years. If for no other reason, his vanity would require him to leave the team in the best position possible. A boot in the bum for some of the underperforming kids is very likely a step along that path. Next will be talking to the unsigned about their future with the club.
Incidentally, I told Hanners last night that I didn't recognise him in person as he looks so young in person - like a 16yo. I can't imagine the maturity he much have showed to be selected to play last year. And hasn't he lifted to be an indispensible player - I reckon I may have been talking to a future star of the club.
