I had a 'hot spot' in my foot a few years ago - its basically the precursor of a stress fracture but if you get to it early enough you can avoid major injury. Orthotics to fix the way my foot and toes hit the ground fixed things for me, but I'm not 6'11" and 125kgs..... I certainly think Sandi should have another week of just to be sure

I'm happy with that. Time to kick some Docker arse (Mascot included).

All 3 emergencies will be playing for the reserves, so I'm guessing one or more of them will be flying back to Canberra or Sydney as soon as the warm up is complete as the reserves game is on the Sunday

Much as I'm gratified by Sandilands' absence I'd love to see him and Mummo go head to head.

IIRC big Mummy was 'resting' when we met earlier this year.

Freo at home would have to start favourite but I think we will carry our form of the last two games and win.

Does your info source tell you whether Smith is due to play with the reserves this week? Would be good to get a game into him so he is in contention for selection against the Dogs next week, back at the SCG.

Yes I should have added that Smith is playing.

4 ins to the reserves team last week Smith, Currie, Johnston and Meredith and at this stage no outs.

                    No Bird or Barlow though.

Freo are ripe for the picking and IMO we should probably win this game. We are a hell of a lot closer to full strength than they are.

Quite true but they are also 13 wins from their last 15 games @ Subi. It will be tough, but the boys can do it!

Swans Website says all Emergencies travelled to Perth?

                          Interesting. Fair enough I guess.

Nothing's set in stone, given they flew out yesterday and had to get through a training session today it's probably just precautionary. Or a few players are sore?

We haven't beaten the Dockers at Subiaco since Round 15, 1998, when we won by 13 points - and that was the only time we've beaten them at Subiaco.

Since then, it's been an an almost routine defeat when we go over there by about 4 goals.

Hopefully, the law of averages will be on our side this time.

So we have a better record against the Eagles at Subi than against the Dockers.

That's breaking some kind of law.
