Could get a few more viewers, but I guess a large percentage of hardcoreTV lovers would have at least digital or even Foxtel, so if they didn't like us before, not sure the election will drive them into our arms.

Gillard can't be a real Bulldogs fan to call the election for this day

Don't suppose they'll put up the results on the scoreboard as they come through?

I hope not. I don't want any distractions from what should be a fantastic evening.

I don't think there's any doubt we're going to beat the Bulldogs on Saturday night. Count on it.

Eade said Higgins and Easton Wods(??) are likely outs as well.

Pencil it in? Like the Dees and the Tigers? If we get up on Saturday and don't drop our guard against the Brions, we will definitely go into the finals in good shape.

There's going to be so much emotion at the SCG on Saturday. Julia and Baz vs Brett and Paul's last real home game. I hope the team stay focused. If there has been a game not to miss in the past few years, this has to be it. See you there.

We can just channel flick to the election during the many many breaks after swans goals.......probably 20 or 30 times.

as I have said previously - move the National Tally Room to the SCG!!! that way Antony Green can watch his swans AND do his election gig at the same time at his computer booted up card table behind the interchange gates. - Julia (If she was a real Doggies fan would have legislated that the NTR be moved to the SCG!) and Tony (who should go for Sydney seeing as he lives here) can sit on opposite sides of the stadium in their respective party boxes. There can be quick election updates at the quarter time breaks then a full summary at half time. - then at fulltime - who ever has won can make their "I've won" speech and everyone can go home knowing that they watched a good game of footy - farewelled our captain and coach and also be aware of who is to run the country for the next 3-4 years - its a win win. I only wish it could be that simple!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

Maybe they should have just done away with the whole expense of a general election and have the outcome decided by the result of the game. Though I might have to change colours for the night!

I will be missing this game but sending my son in my place. I run a polling booth and will have my earphone in for the game even if I am counting votes. Earn the money so I can go to Melbourne if we have a finals down there.

Hope Swans win and win well. For Kirk, Roos and definitely for McGlynn our warrior and great addition to our team.
                        Love those Swans

definitely want rohan and smith in, hopefully LRT as well if he is fit.

can kick out shaw and bevan along with mcglyn's omission.

that looks like a pretty strong team to me.

                          or

                          just smith for mcglynn.

Liam Picken only gets a reprimand for striking Joel Selwood and will be free to play on Saturday.

The incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points).
Low impact. They have got to be joking. He's a very lucky boy.
