I reckon he was stiff to be reported.

I would be surprised and disappointed if he is suspended. It just looked like an accident caused more by Ben's great courage than any malice on the Docker guy's part.

Yep, have to agree. I didn't even think he was negligent, it was Bennys courage in diving that caused the injury.
If he does get suspended, this game is moving closer than ever to Netball.!

I asked Larissa who was looking after him, and I am assured that "someone" was. He is not a happy camper at present, very sick sad and sorry. So would I be. Hope he gets a print out of this thread and all the healing hugs he is being sent.

Poor guy, really hope he heals quickly and with as little pain as possible, it was terrible to see him sitting on the bench hurting so much, as Primmy mentioned it was good to see the trainer there treating him with such genuine concern.
All the best to Benny, he's been an amazing addition to the team and no doubt will stun us all further next season but I'd rather know he is fully healed than rush him back this season

I love the fact that the doctors on both teams consulted over the injury. Qudos to the quokker's doctor.

I know it was an accident and I'd really hate to see the other player penalised - but it was sickening to watch.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

This guy is an absolute gem and along with Mummy ,recruit of the year! The injury was because of his reckless courage that gives us the 1% that win games. All power to him! Thats the kind of injury that gains you player respect..the fans respect you already!

Get well soon Ben!! Your courage is damn admirable and I'm rapt that you've found a home at the Swans! You've earned your Blood stripes early on and I can't wait till you're back on the field!

On the Couch showed footage of Benny rolling over after the hit. James Hird pointed out the side of Benny's face ( having done the same thing in the west) and his cheek was flat. It looked very bad. Hird said from personal experience ice wasn't going to help him on the bench.

By the sound of what Ted has written at the end.... it seems Mcglynn wont be flying back

I have driven to Adelaide from Sydney and i thought THAT was dull and monotonous.... poor bugger.

I hope he doesnt fly back - sounds way too painful for that.
