Congratulations- The Swans are 2010 Finalists.

How good is it going to work today after a brilliant victory (my Wests Tigers won as well) knowing we're going to play finals with a massive game to look forward to on Sat night. Brilliant cure for Mondayitus.

Also Ditto to Matt and Cruiser. Well said gentlemen.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Should we mention what happened the last time the Tigers and Swans made the finals the same year?

I've been critical of Roos over the last month, but credit where it is deserved. He's done an awesome job focusing the players in the last two games and the results are on the board, we made the finals. Geelong and Collingwood are way ahead of everyone else, but that's not the point. In terms of our development and where we could have gone, just a stellar effort. The finals experience will be invaluable for our next gen players.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.

Fully agree. If we'd kept everyone fit we could have been Top 4 but I still can't see us with a Premiership this year. But to play finals with the outs we've had has been an astonishing effort. And it's a credit to the kids who have lifted so quickly. It's funny to hear other teams talk about how well their young players are developing, but not well enough for them to play finals, while ours have got us there.

After our recruiting for this year, I thought Roos was leaving Horse with the makings of a great team. But the surprise has been how the Swans can send Kirk off in style as it already shows where the next burst of Bloods spirit is going to come from. We are so far from being a tanking team - and that makes me so proud and so excited for the future (and that starts on Saturday night).

+ 1 for all of the above. I am very disappointed I can't make the game on Saturday. I think back to when Roos (and Kirk in a different way) took over, not high expectations except from the swans community. We have a lot to thank these guys for and lets hope that in 5-6 years time we will be sitting back enjoying the Longmire, Hanners, Jack etc. era.

                    One week at a time.

IF we win all our games from now to the end of September, we've got more silverware.

It does feel good to at least have one crack at it.

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

The most satisfying thing for me is that a whole bunch of people on Bigfooty, mainly Essendon, RIchmond, North, WCE and Melbourne supporters were giving the swans fans hell at the start of the season with quotes like....'enjoy your next 4-5 years languishing in the bottom 4', 'what a bad time to star a re-build, with the 2 new teams coming in and getting all the draft concessions' and words to those effect.

Well, well, well all you bombers, kangas, eagles, tigers and demons fans, looks like we'll be playing finals football.... AGAIN, and you guys will not be....AGAIN
