Awesome news to hear today. Any chance he can greenlight one or both of his sons through the Academy to help us. Since he said earlier in the year they'd try out for it.

        He certainly talks it up.

?Without overstating it, the academy is the most significant development for the Swans in the 27 years since the Club moved from Melbourne.
        Bigger than "HERE IT IS!"?

Anyway, great to have him still around the club. Plus he's brilliant at spotting and developing talent.

But hang on a minute, surely he's going to coach West Coast or Carlton?

Great news, and all real fans knew he'd commit to the Swans. Could be a very significant announcement - have they tried this sort of thing in NSW in the past?

He spotted Hanners at age 14 so he's certainly got an eye for talent.

The Swans have been agitating for it for years and years but the AFL refused to listen.

That is, until GWS came along.

I thought Kirky might have got the job, but I suppose Roosy isn't a bad second option. Isn't Nicky D one of the current coaches?

What is Kirky doing next year? I figured he is such an inspirational leader that he will eventually have a role at the club, maybe even with the academy.

I may have missed it but have any kids been officially accepted into the academy as yet? Roosy's sons? Kieran Jacks younger brother?

Lloyd Perris, Alex Jalloh and any NSW Scholarship players that make the cut next year will be the inaugurable members, I think.

My understanding is that we already have players in the academy? Bradshaw said something about his son being accepted into the academy at the Redback Brunch? Ages 9 up to draft age.

I think that was just his son having a run around at the junior trials.

I heard from the horse's mouth last year that he wants to be a househusband. He might have been pulling my leg.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if that was the case, at least for a year or two. Maybe he could do some freelance media stuff on the side, nothing that will take up too much time.
