    Week 1 Finals- Ticketing Information

    Hey everyone,

Things are getting exciting here at Swans HQ.

Some of you may not be aware that the ticketing arrangements for Week 1 have changed slightly.

If the Swans finish 5 or 6 on the ladder and qualify to play at home in Week 1 of the Finals each member is entitled to purchase up to four tickets per membership.

If we finish 7 or 8 and play our Final Away the ticket entitlement for each member remains one per membership.

All members will receive an email at the conclusion of Round 22 on Sunday with final details on the date, time and venue of the game.

No matter what, tickets will go onsale to members on Monday 30 August (the time and agent depends on where the game is played) Check here for more details.

Any questions, give us a call at Member Services on 02 9339 9130, less urgent enquiries can be emailed to [email protected]

    Cheer cheer,

    Larissa

Thanks for that info Larissa. Sooooo much more logical. I couldn't understand why, after the last home final debacle, they would put these limitations on us.

Got my finals tickets brochure in the mail today and noticed that they have listed ANZ and the SCG for Sydney on it.

I know the AFL has a contract to play finals out at ANZ Stadium, but I reckon they may just be willing to negiotiate with all parties to spring an afternoon Saturday or Sunday game at the SCG. Very likely if it is Freo.

I think it may have been in case there happened to be a scheduling conflict at ANZ. I really can't see them changing it for any other reason.

          Unfortunately.

          I hope you're right!

SCG on a Saturday Afternoon would be fantastic. I doubt seeing ANZ is free that it will happen, but common sense would dictate it is worth the discussion. The AFL are handing ANZ 3 extra games from from 2012 including two home town derbies (or whatever we will call them), so I am sure they have some bargaining power.

Agree, would love a SCG final...

However, I honestly think this is going to be an impossibility. As members we have been offered 4 tickets per membership. Cannot see that happening if it was at the SCG.

If we get a home final, it will be at ANZ,regardless of what many of us want. End of story.

                      Yep, and isn't it marvellous!
Who'd have thought this time last year with all that experience going, then after all those injuries this year and the pain as just when we looked like getting one back on the paddock another would go down, that not only are we playing finals it looks like it will be a HOME final!
And no-one can say we have limped in either, we're in as good a form as anybody.
                      Man I love this club!

Like the proactive approach taken by the club this time to avoid the low crowd of 2008, would have liked the AFL to be a little more generous in their pricing for the Sydney market given the larger capacity of ANZ, but, well, that's out of our hands and hopefully the Swans members respond with a good turn-out next week (assuming we beat the Lions, of course!)
