Well there's the end of a pretty @@@@ing impressive home and away season.

Had me concerned for a while there in the first half, but the 3rd quarter in particular we really put the foot down. Thought Pyke was fantastic again, and continued on from his efforts of last week and just keeps on improving. Reid was very impressive in his first game - not sure that I would play him next week in a game that will have a lot more riding on it than tonight did, but he showed some great signs...Lewis Johnstone might be a little worried particularly if the coaching staff see Reid more as a forward than a defender. I found it interesting that Goodes was played primarily up forward, yet again we see the difference in his effectiveness in that role compared to running through the midfield - he must be played in the midfield next week.
Great to see at the end of the game Kirk and Simon Black swap guernseys - both absolutely class acts.
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Glad to finally see what dad's been harping on about with Sam Reid. Dad was in heaven tonight, all the kids he liked in ressies at the start of the year, with the exception of Lewis Johnston, got a run
Second half was MUCH better than the first.
Bring on next week!Life's not a spectator sportComment

What a find Reid is. Will they play him next week as the key forward? 8 marks, not bad for a first game. He has way more forward smarts than Jessie.Comment

Bevan had a very good game. One poor pass to Rohan is all I could pin on him. What I liked is how he read the ball coming down the ground. Let's hope he can keep it up.Comment

I guess I would contrast this with ROK who also looked below full fitness tonight after missing last week, but you would definitely play him with a minor niggle next week...

I've got a serious man love for Kizza... an absolute gun...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

I think you can describe that as a 'workmanlike win' (though first half was very wobbly). Tony Shaw wants to drop Jesse if Mumford comes back in. Reid has been impressive, but drop Jesse? Um, no. White just needs to play the way he did against the Hawks and Dockers, crashing packs and bringing the ball to ground for TDL! It's a tough call, though, but it least gives us a bit more flexibility if Mumford doesn't come up next week...
Geez how harshly must Roosy judge Goodes. Had a word to him at three quarter time after he struggled up forward.
Jack is an absolute star!! Channel 10 is still in the last quarter and the Fox commentators are raving about our league/union converts hehe.Last edited by Xie Shan; 28 August 2010, 10:16 PM.Comment

What a find Reid is, now I know what you ressie watchers have been going on about AND HE'S STILL 18! Could be anything from what we saw tonight. Future CHF I'd reckon.Comment
