... after being absolutely flogged by Melbourne, we were tipped to win one of the next 5 games and finish outside the 8.
Roos said the players were not switched on. I think we all realised that.
4/5 wins later. and we are 5th.

    Who would've thought?
With several key players out for most of the season it has been a hard slog keeping any consistency in the team structure.

The team and coaching staff deserve a lot of credit to bring such joy to their supporters for another season. Another year, Another finals campaign.
The youngsters, the new recruits, have all played a big part in ensuring Roos and Kirk go out with something we will all remember.

I, for one am hoping the boys can turn it on again and take us one more step, at least.

Well done boys. Well done Roos. Well done Kirk!!

Bring on the blues, we know their coming, so let's send them packing.

    See you on Sunday!!

Not to sound like a bored politician in question time, but I give this thread a rousing, "Hear! Hear!"

Interestingly too is that Malcolm Blight, when asked, in "The Fifth Quarter" if it was possible for a club to win the flag from outside the top 4 said, "On form, either Hawthorn or Sydney were a possibility".

So, "Hear hear" to your comments Scott.

On ya boys. You've made me eat my words. They were tasty!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Many "experts" are now tipping us to go deep into Sept!!
So maybe we'll have to cancel those late season ski trips.
