(Edit: Just read the other thread on BF, it doesn't look good)

Vesz looking a class above but not playing like it, and needs to shed a few kilos, remind you of anyone?
Yep, it was a shocking day for footy. I sure know how to pick them, first the sub-zero Tuggers game and then this one!

Vesz is quite similar to Davo, BUT, it must be said that Vespa's weight is mainly muscle, so it's not too bad. He is built like a brick @@@@house, but his style of play doesn't quite suit it. Needs to trim a few kilos of muscle, not fat.
Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!

Thanks especially to ugg and BSA5, almost the only way to be in touch with the ressies at this distance. Good to hear that they are trying, especially with the odds stacked against them. Nice to hear about Uncle Byron, LJ and Currie in particular.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

BSA5, you must qualify as a genuine R.F.
Thanks for the report, sounds like Uncle has his sights set on seniors sooner rather than later, now that Jets and TDL are both in. Also sounds like he has had a steady rise in quality of play from the start of the year.
they all seem to be doing well, relatively speaking.

A query back along about LRT. We won't see him again this season, by my reckoning. But he happily engaged the kids near the race at training, chatted to them very easily and at length.

Not even for a GF Pimmy?

Here's an interesting question: if we get that far, whose place would he (LRT) take? He would be coming in without any game time for about 6 weeks, and would be competing with a very in-form Teddy. I'm assuming Reg wouldn't be moved. I'm a fervid LRT fan, but even I would think twice about making the change. But I don't think the question will arise since he is reported to have re-injured his hammy. Still, nice problem to have.

It would be much closer to 10 weeks by then. Not a snowflakes chance in hell they would bring him in for a GF in that scenario (barring a shocking injury toll in a PF).

Yeah just read that aswell, we would HAVE to consider him for next week IF we were to win today.

Thanks for the comprehensive match report, really appreciated. Sumner looking like a starter next year which is excitin and would make our 2009 trading and drafting amongst the best of any team any time.

Apparently LRT is scheduled to play.

Perfect timing. If one of grundy or ted goes down, at least LRT will have a game under his belt before the prelim.
