They better bloody well win this week.
I want to do a road trip for the granny.

I saw Braddles yesterday ... he reckons he's pulled up ok and is in no pain.
I hope he's not just saying that to make ME feel better.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

What would you do if the Ressies made the Canbera GF and the Seniors made the Prelim. Both would be on the Saturday.

I thought they normally play the ACTAFL GF on a Sunday. Pretty sure I've done a GF and a PF in the same weekend before.

I did the 2006 PF (Freo, although it was a Friday) and Ressies Sunday GF double. Clearly remember rushing home from Canberra, logging onto the Swans/AFL/??? website and seeing my name among the list of people who obtained GF tix.

            I'd drive to Canberra.
I promised the boys I'd be their personal cheer-squad.

If we play the seniors game on the Saturday night ... I'd get home in plenty of time to make it to the pub!!

Fair enough ugg, that's pretty good evidence.

If correct, it puts us at a severe disadvantage should we win this weekend. I'd imagine we will take all our emergencies to Melb and leave a skeleton team for the Ressies GF.

If it was on Sunday, the emergencies could fly Melb/Canberra on Sunday morning and front up.

Just on last Saturday's game, I have not seen a football field with so much water on it, and actually seen a game played on it, in decades!

When they came off the field, all the jumpers and shorts were perfectly clean from the water!

BSA5's summary was pretty right, but the conditions were so poor ... the ball was like a medicine ball coated in vaso ... probably best to forget they went around. Although, if it is like that again, we stand little chance against the mature bodies of Easlake or Ainslie. We need a fast track.

On Byron Sumner ... need to remember that he not only had no pre-season, but also mysteriously went missing for about 6 weeks early, so he has taken time to find consistent form and fitness. I am really looking forward to seeing him next year with a proper preparation under his belt ... he has that special something!

I asked for a flat white, but not too hot (previous games burnt hands before getting back to my seat - different people.) This guy said "Don't worry, I'll make it just right" and he did.

Uncle hurt his back in a car accident early on in the season ... hence the six weeks missing.
I hope he gets a gig in the seniors next year. He's a little gun.

Thanks ugg, BSA5 and other posters. Here's Sumner doing it.

That's Ben Hughes taking the kick.

Thanks ugg. I think I have now included his name in a caption. I'm a bit hopeless at uploading and captions - must be getting senile.
