Can't see it happening, other AFL clubs are more of a threatWe have them where we want them, everything is going according to plan! -
He played the game until he was 14 so he knows what to do.
And further reading of the News Ltd newspaper article (doesn't News Ltd own half the NRL??) shows that it is all his Dad's opinion, nothing from Kizza himself."Fortunately, this is the internet, so knowing nothing is no obstacle to having an opinion!." Beerman 18-07-2017Comment

You silly silly man .....what sort of pressure do you actually want your son to be under while playing finals football, and the media dogs just ready to bite!
Someone (Larissa?) tell him to butt out and shut up.
I am rarely made truly angry by such comments, but honestly the timing and the pressure of such a waywardly stupid statement has to be seen to be believed. Jealousy? I used to be such a fan of Gary and I am so mad....and desparately disappointed in him. Self agrandisement. If you've never jumped from one couch to the other to save yourself from lava then you didn't have a childhoodComment

It's finals and the NRL nuff nuffs are trying to get a bit of their own back. We haven't even seen Sheedy weigh in yet with some his GWS pearls of wisdom but I'm waiting.
All Gary is saying is that Keiran would and could test himself against the best in the NRL. He's not saying he wants to switch codes or anything else. Just a proud Dad stating that his son is a super talent and could play both codes easily. Which, I think we would all agree, he could definitely do.
Media has then gone and got a couple of quotes from a few names.
Nothing to worry about. Lets relax and have a sherry. All is well in the red and white world.Comment

I don't have an issue with this. He was probably asked a question whether it was possible for Kizza to play NRL and he gave an honest opinion. We have him signed for the next 3 years so it doesn't put any immediate pressure on him whatsoever...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

I reckon he was obviously fed a leading question. Something like, "Do you think your son would be able to make a switch from AFL to League?" Garry Jack obviously replies, "Yes, I think he would be able to, and I think he'd really enjoy the challenge," and after that it's just postulation about how he'd fit in. There's absolutely nothing to suggest he'd ever make the move in the first place, just that he'd enjoy the challenge if he did, and would probably be succesful.Officially on the Reid and Sumner bandwagon!Comment

The author Phil Rothsfield is a big big league fan and known soccer hater. Unfortunately he is also the sports editor of the daily telegraph. Expect more articles like this talking up league and putting down afl as gws nears it's entry into the competitionLast edited by ugg; 4 September 2010, 11:46 AM.Comment

Why would he leave to play an inferior code?
It's like leaving to play VFL.Adam Goodes: Rising Star 99, Brownlow 2003, 2006

BSA5 is spot on though - clearly asked a leading question and gave a legitimate response. Wouldn't it be great to see more of the "q&a" type interviews instead of the journos taking artistic license to turn insignificant comments into major stories?Comment

Oh, I didn't realize it was that serial idiot that wrote that piece. He has more agendas than a federal independent. Ironically he hates the Wests Tigers and is constantly writing garbage about them. When this bloke is involved it's as BBB says, move along nothing to see here...And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors.
