I've still got a headache from the noise around 112. What a fabuous day !! Was the best atmosphere I have experienced at anz. Yes, the 3rd qtr was quiet but we lifted when we had to - just like the team. and what a team !! Love them all and so wish I could go to the game on Sat. night.

Absolutely goin' off in 106. Received a phone call from my wife halfway through the last quarter and couldn't hear a thing. Thought the atmosphere was fantastic all day. Understandably it hit a bit of an ebb in the third but that last quarter was sensational.
It's very hard to live in a studio apartment in San Jose with a man who's learning to play violin. That's what she told the police when she handed them the empty revolver.

Only issue I had was the woman asking everyone to be quiet as her kid was asleep!!!!

412 was going off too - we had 4 Carlton supporters behind us - but they were good value - how anyone could say that the atmosphere was crap are perhaps full of crap themselves!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

So glad to hear that all of you at the ground were in great voice.

However, to be fair to the OP, what came through on the telly was quite tame. There was more atmosphere a couple of weeks ago - SCG and Channel 10 I presume. Independent observers in our lounge room will attest to the numerous comments by me along the lines of "come on, crowd, start whipping them up!!" I can only conclude that the telecast was at fault.

Finally, with apologies to all you at the ground, but the same independent observers are adamant that the boys got over the line purely because they could hear me!! From Gosford, no less!!

Certainly my family are having hearing issues this week.

We were more annoyed (and quite rightly so) by being told that we were "piss weak" by someone who wasn't even at the ground. Unless you were actually there you wouldnt have a clue as to how good it was.

Good to have another Central Coast person here on RWO.

Watching the replay, I'm sure now that Ch 7 turn their mikes down. You could hardly hear the clappers . The Swans version of a vuvuzella. They sounded very muffled.

Fair enough. OP expressed themselves a little too forcefully.

You could well be right - perhaps they have had complaints in the past not unlike the horrendous noises during the soccer world cup.

Ahh, you may just have solved the mystery there Bas. I'm currently watching the replay and couldn't work out why it seems so much quieter than actually being there.

Exactly. My voice, today, to put it bluntly is still @@@@@@. Yesterdays crowd was awesome, even from my position up in corporate land. Had the whole box rocking by the end of the game. If a few of them don't become full on converts to the game after yesterday, then they are already dead.

Its like the 19,000 crowd final in 2008. Unless you were there you will never realise the atmosphere that the game and crowd created that night. Can never pick that up from TV

Looks like I'm a little north of you, judging by your signature.

You'll be pleased to know that there are quite a few Swannies fans nearby, but I don't think they are on RWO. Just look at what they're missing.

If we make the GF you'll be able to spot me by the van with the red and white streamers etc!

I'm actually within staggering distance of the Henry Kendall Tavern.

My son plays for the mighty Gosford Tigers. Who have both U12 and U14 teams playing their Grand Finals this Saturday at Rodgers Park Woy Woy.

It seemed perfectly fine at the ground, normally I go with the 40k at Homebush sounds like 20k at Moore Park but I thought the crowd was generally pretty in to the game.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
