    Kick Ins

Sensational win by the boys but could we get any more predictable or
inefficient with our kick-ins? Something needs to be done...

(And I know it has been a problem for a while now).

Been a problem for a few seasons now, other teams seem to kick I'm quickly when they want but Sydney just seems too stagnant with little or no movement off the ball.

I don't see the issue, we are number 1 in the comp for keeping the ball after the kick in.

Not sure on the stats, but I also beleive we are high up for non scores after a kick out as well.

Our kick in strategy (while predictible) works just fine.

Must be just an optical illusion then, because I would like too see a lot more movement, a lot more leads... no question, but I watch it from a long way away.

Predictabilty and speed are major problems!!!!
Why were we content to kick to a contest on the same flank for the entire game??????
It really irks me when the opposition is handed marking opps inside 50 from a kick in.
Not sure about the supposed stat that ranks us as no.1 from kick INS but we definately dropped down a few rungs today!!!!
It maybe because I scrutinize our games more but I have a strange feeling that
we would be one of the slowest teams on the restart.
C'mon guys let's get it moving against the Dogs - back ourselves in the open and
get some free flowing football happening. This means we need to present a hell of alot more than today and run hard to space.
While I am ranting - there also needs to be more support in defensive 50.
Ted and Reg seldom had anyone dropping back per usual and this exposed
us to far too many marks by the Blues inside their 50.
Great spirit shown today but a lot to work on...c'mon boys we'll need to improve if we are to repeat the dose against the Dogs at the kennel.

Third qtr was a shocker for kick ins today.

Kick ins were worrying me as well. Too often to a contest and then a strong Carlton mark. Immediately on the back foot.

Not only were our kick ins shocking (especially when going to the same spot everytime), but everytime Blues had a kick-in they went short. Of course none of our players decided to take note of that and could have spoiled for a goal (like what Blues did with ours).

Far too many kick-ins were long to a contest and Carlton outmarked Sydney today. Fortunately, the seat in front of me was empty, so I could punch it in frustration during the third. The long kick worked okay when Darren Jolly was there to mark it. Doesn't seem like anyone's filled Mike or Shane in on that tactic.
