    Super Ted

Just a special mention to the favourite whipping boy of RWO.

Ted has stood tall in defence since coming back into the team and is an absolute legend.

The game certainly hasn't gone past him and to be frank, we would be @@@@@@ without him.

Horrible match up against ape man today. Both Big Ted and Bevo have really stood up in the last 5 weeks.
In memory of my little Staffy - Dicey, 17.06.2005 to 1.12.2011- I'll miss you mate.

I was a bit concerned when he was left one out with gigantor in the 2nd quarter, we could use another tall defender but he's doing a great job. 100% commitment.

Teddy has been a contributor over the last few weeks but
today was not a great game by any stretch.
Having said this - our defense was off today for most of the game.
I thought Reg was solid and Shaw was great.
However, the remaining guys didn't seem to operate with the same
support for one another. We failed to fill holes, clear space and thus created
        added pressure on ourselves.
However, credit due to Carlton who kicked long into their 50 and
        put us under pressure.
Definately work to be done on the track this week.

Comments in the "ratings" section of afl.com.au were a bit harsh.
Ted did a fair bit of useful - and brave - work today.

Nick Smith was fantastic again today.
You would be hard pressed to have even known Eddie Betts was even playing today.
Apart from his name on the banner for the Blues - had absolutely zero impact on the result.
            Great effort!

The human glove. He's taken some huge scalps this year.

I haven't been a fan in the past, but I'm delighted to see him perform so well.

His efforts on behalf of the club in the last few weeks have been stellar. All the uncertainty that used to plague him seems to have disappeared.

You always have to give credit where it's due.

Are you referring to Ted or Nick Smith? If Ted I could not agree more..if Nick, I never had doubts.

Agreed that Teddy has been great since being recalled but today wasn't one of his better efforts. Other than Smith's incredible job on Betts, I thought our backs were largely beaten today. You don't often see as many marks taken inside our defensive 50 as we saw today.

Agree with that sentiment, but they were under the pump a lot today. The Blues had 61 inside 50s, which a lot more than we usually give up, which resulted in the defence scrambling a lot. Henderson did drop a fair few easy ones though, probably proved costly in the end.

Our backs had a fair day, except in Q3 when the midfield went off the boil and made life unnecessarily hard for them. When the mids raised their intensity, the backs managed to hold on well enough.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Can't fault his work ethic, but his disposal especially by hand was pretty ordinary yesterday.
Missed a lot of targets in close.
