Just means we are due for a close one......less than a goal either way I think.....don't think my heart can stand the pressure.....

I think it'll be a close one unless we are can kick away early and run them off thier feet. They will be desperate to send Johnson off with a bang, and even though they are undermanned, they have plenty of quality players still in the team. I damn well hope for a comfortable win, but come finals time, 1 point is all it needs for the right result, so I'll take it. Not sure its good for the ticker, but thats what footy does to you!

Win this week and we may get LRT back in time to play on Sooky.

Bradshaw has played reserves for the last two weeks. He's not "injured", but he's got one hell of a niggle!

Oh, of course - disregard that last comment!

Question: When was the last time we beat the Dogs in Melbourne? Additional question: Does it really matter seeing we've been playing them in Canberra for the last few years?

                    No surprise...

AAP AFL:Higgins out for the year
The Western Bulldogs' AFL finals campaign has taken another hit
with midfielder SHAUN HIGGINS' season over.
HIGGINS had been struggling with a thyroid condition, but the
Bulldogs had believed he was over the problem.
But after undergoing further medical tests following the big
qualifying final loss to Collingwood, the decision was taken to
                    abort HIGGINS' season immediately.
It's another blow to the Dogs, who've been in indifferent form
and play Sydney at the MCG on Saturday night in a sudden-death
                    final.
Utility EASTON WOOD is likely to replace HIGGINS in the side to
                    take on the Swans.

Well they said he was doubtful to return, depending to how deep we went in finals, and him not having played a game etc...

Really looking forward to going this week, I feel somewhat relaxed about this game because we have achieved far beyond my expectations this year. The doggies are under pressure not to go out in straight sets and we can sort of have that go for all 'nothing to lose' attitude, even though it would mean seasons end. Another finals win would be just fantastic with a chance to have a shot at the saints, but if we lose there is no way ill be critical, it has been a great year.

Who plays on Murphy? Geez that bloke is dangerous out of defense.

And agree with MSB that this game is more relaxed than usual for finals. I'll be nervous as hell come Saturday but deep in my heart I don't think we can beat the Cats or Pies in a GF. So watching to see how far we get - preferably with me proved wrong and a tickertape parade down George St - is a rewarding and unexpected ride.

                              Smiff?

He only gives away 1cm and a few kg's.

Kirk seemed to do a good job last time. In fact it will be interesting to see whether he reprises that defensive forward role he had in Round 21, or reverts back to a midfield run-with role.
