    MCG tickets at the gate

Looks like we're coming over from Adelaide (where the failure this year of Poor Powa and the Adelaide Cows has been a beautiful blessing) to watch this weeks game.

We should be able to get tickets at the gate? Any suggestions as to where in the ground is best if price isn't an issue? Also where will most Swans supporters be in the ground?

Thanks in advance for you help.

You'll be able to get tix at the ground no problems. That being said if you're going to get the more expensive seats I'd prebook as then you get the best of the best. As to what are the best seats, it's a matter of taste I guess but I really like the seats one level up on either wing or pocket. Best atmosphere is low down but you don't get the overall view. Anyway, I'm sure you know all this. Good luck.

The Cheer Squad will be in the Great Southern Stand if that helps you with wear you want to sit.

I can't see there being more than 50000 in attendance. You should be able to sneak into a good sport among other Swans fans pretty easily.

We are where the AFL allocate us.

Yes, normally we are in the Ponsford. We generally only sit in the GSS against the Pies.

GS14, I think Peace is talking about JF's location 'at Swans away games, watching us losing' as opposed to the cheer squads location....lol

Let's hope we have a similar result to that great night though.

What did we get at the same final 2 years ago? I think it was something like 32.000 only.

                          Why Damo??

Swans are up and running so the Sth Melb fans will come out of the woodwork.

More telling is that the casual footy follower who want to attend one final this weekend are MUCH more likely to choose our game then the probable blowout on Fri night.

Not convinced the mid range Bulldogs fan will be interested in forking out their hard earned if confidence in the dogs is low.

You may be right about casual fans etc, but 'only ' 65K for Dogs/Collingwood last week (I know weather was bad), is not a good sign for our game I'd suggest.

Yeah, the crowds were disappointing last week, even though the weather was obviously a big player.

Apart from the obvious reason, another huge reason I want the Swans to get up this weekend is so I can go to the Pies/Cats Prelim (presuming it's happening of course).

It should be huge. There is no doubt that Prelims have probably the best atmosphere of any game of the year given that ALL the fans can get a ticket to the game to cheer for their side, as opposed to 50K of corporates and theatre goers who pilfer tickets from the real fans on GF day with no allegiance to the participating sides.
