So sorry to hear that Erica. As has been said, footy is such a family - one random thing brings us together and keeps us together once we become diehards.
I get back to Sydney for maybe one game a year, nobody ever knows which one it will be, but when I get to see the group I first started going with with my dad back in 1994, it's always like returning home - a big catch up and at the same time nothing's ever changed. Their group lost someone this week as well, and came very close to losing another a few weeks back as well (it's a big group, not just a run of bad luck!), and it's always so sad to hear there will be one less familiar face next time.
I hope someone can keep Wal's seat in his family and have the next generation step into his place (if they aren't there already).
