Elimination Final 2010 - Bulldogs v Swans Game day thread

Just hours to go and time to kick off this thread.

Will the Swans make the same mistake as Freo and play injured players too early?

Will Johnson be BOG after making a miraculous recovery?

Will Big Balling Barry, still crying at kiddies in Swans jumpers calling him names, kick a big 6 goals?

    Will ROK be passenger again?

Will McVeigh do anything at all this week?

I think Benny will be a late withdrawal. It still too soon to come back after such a bad facial fracture.

Braddy to play if what Roos has been saying about his recent fitness work in the past few weeks.

Just how many injuries do the doggies really have?

Will have Joolia back in the stands with her manbag tonight. Will it be enough inspiration to get them across the line?. The two umpires playing the role of the independants to get them across the line.

    Not long now.

Even Garry Lyon wishing the bulldogs to victory.

Interesting stat where he says : Only twice in the past 10 years have the teams that finished in the top four not played off in the preliminary final ? Port Adelaide in 2001 and West Coast in 2007.

    Don't roll over

That means the statistics are against us and bulldogs had a quiet one last week.

I knew I'd get rid of him!!!!

BOM site is showing that there are no rain clouds anywhere to be seen over Melbourne.

Just cooling the bottles of Spumante to help me get through the game. Might even hit the Brown Muscut if it gets close in that final quarter.

I'm pretty sure the stats aren't very forward looking in their judgments.

Have got the usual pre-game nerves.......trouble is I am sitting here at home rather than in my seat in the Great Southern stand....bloddy flight stuffups.

Go Swannies so I can use my flight that is in a fortnights time.

I fear, just like last night for the Dockers, the non-inclusions of Bevan and White will bite us on the arse.

Here's hoping I'm wrong but you just don't drop blokes who contributed like those two did last week.

We'll be cool. Braddy is fine. McGlynn has the courage of a lion on ice. The train rolls on.

                      * That's 'ice' the drug btw. A lion on actual frozen water wouldn't be feeling too confident.

                      * Actually 'ice' can make you paranoid. Let's change that - McGlynn has the courage of a lion after 10 schooners.

Now you tell us - you should have told the selectors earlier! I bet they haven't thought of that.

I'm nervous about their inclusion too but you have to have some degree of faith that Roos, Horse et al have some degree of competence in selection. Yes it sometimes goes wrong but as I posted earlier, on injuries, Leo shouldn't have played in the GF in 2005 and then I wonder how history would have turned out?

Let's hope we're praising their selection as an act of genius in a few hours.

I'm off to a mate's place with a bottle of wine. I hope it's enough. But no way to post till I'm home so -

                            Enjoy the night folks.

                            GO SWANNIES!!!!
