    Jetts Journal

That kid is the funniest one on the block. He wrote how he felt, which was not good, and finished off with saying he was going to go and get a tan in the offseason. I rolled.

Has a great spirit, doesn't he? And obviously passionate about the game.
Point to notice: after his 19 behinds, he kicked 7.2!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Anyone who thinks he's not going to get better is kidding themselves. Jets is obviously a kid that needs to gain experience and find extra confidence. Give him a few seasons and I think he'll be a real solid, reliable contributor to the team. Can't wait for the next few years.

            I just love him.

That sense of humour is fabulous.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

Looking forward to him chipping in little 3 goal bags from the wing next year. Should happen quite regularly with a big pre season under his belt.

His change of attitude to contested possessions really showed in the finals IMO. Going to be outstanding next year.

Earlier in the year I thought Jets, flashy may not have the work ethic and be big game performer. The last half against dogs said something about his passion, drive and ability on the big stage. Persevering for 19 behinds is going to pay off big time.
P.S. big congrats to the coaching staff for the way they managed this situation too, it can't have been easy on Jets or the staff when he kicked heaps of behinds and confidence appeared to be falling but with 20/20 hindsight the situation was managed beautifully and look out next year because he is going into the season knowing he deserves to be there.

he will be gun, biggest challenge for us is keeping him at the swans with his family here in WA...
P>S Seen him walk past my shop yesterday didn't gett he chance to say hi...
Might contact the club and get them to tell him and TDL to come in and we'll fit them up in some jeans and a shirt from our store.

Any earlier column shows he has an eye for high fashion, at the right price.

I was wrapped with the way he played against the Bulldogs. A shining light in an otherwise disappointing result. Off the top of my head he and Kennedy can hold thier heads high but i'm sure there are a couple of others i've missed! Still not over how we handed the bulldogs a win! I'll admit that i had question marks over Jetts during the year whether he might be the star high draft pick we were after or a player who will just bob up and have a couple of big games a year. After his performance against the Dogs and the effort to win the hard ball i have high hopes that he will become the player we have all been praying for! Fingers crossed for a big pre season and go out and get em in 2011 Jetstar!!!!

but now in my goal kicking practice I?ve been getting more shots through with my eyes closed than with my eyes open.
It?s all about relaxing, and with my eyes closed I relax and let it happen rather than trying too hard like I do with my eyes open.
