Dear SCG Trust and NSW Government....

Please note the view of your Victorian counterparts.

"I think the thing with stadiums is that you?ve got to keep investing in them, you?ve got to keep improving them.

"48% of the people who go to the G and watch footy are women, 25% are kids ? you?ve got to have good facilities, quality facilities ?"

AFAIK the Noble/Bradman/Messenger stand replacement is still on the agenda - including a further 3m increase in ground length

Not before time. The new Northern/Olympic stand is a couple of classes above the Great Southern.
And those percentages: 48% women, 25% kids. That leaves 27% men - I find that hard to believe. Where did they get those figures from?
But to stay on topic, great news if something similar happens at the SCG.

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Stage 2 of the planned SCG upgrade involves the redevelopment of the Noble/Bradman/Messenger stands targeted for completion by 2015 in time for the 2015 Cricket World Cup. The final phase is the upgrading of the O'Reilly Stand. The goal is to increase the SCG capacity to 50,000. No sure where it's all at since no formal announcements have been made.

I think it's 52% men, and that 25% of kids is part of the overall "women" and "men" numbers.

The SCG Trust really has lagged behind and for many years ignored the ground (especially after the SFS was built in the 80s). They have made greater efforts in the past 10 years, mainly thanks to bigger and newer ANZ stadium.

The MCC do have one hell of an advantage though (in terms of bank balance and govt support for upgrades), the AFLs ground rationalistion ensures huge multiple games most weekend along with guaranteed finals. No other ground in the country would get close to the drawing power that ground has, especially combined with Internatonal Cricket.

They did the count at a Collingwood game......they couldn't tell the difference.

Being Sydney, the 48% included trannys and very feminine males.

I've heard of statistics being massaged, but that's ridiculous. Or improper, I'm not sure. I'd better stop there.
